According to a revelation made by Akshay Kumar himself, the Bollywood star was set to make his debut with 'Phool Aur Kaante', but he was replaced by Ajay Devgn just before filming commenced. The 56-year-old disclosed during the trailer launch of 'Sooryavanshi' that both he and Ajay began their careers together and even contended for the same film. However, the Singham star ended up taking over the role, leading Akki to mention, "I was originally cast in Phool Aur Kaante, but he pushed me out and got the film." Talking about the same, Devgn shared in an interview how he unexpectedly landed his debut film. Despite initially being uninterested in acting, Kuku Kohli, the director of 'Phool Aur Kaante', convinced him to take on the role. Initially hesitant, the Shiva actor was persuaded by the filmmakers and his father to give it a try, leading to his acting journey that began at the age of 18. He admitted that while he was not initially serious about acting, the film's success diverted his focus completely, leaving him with no time to ponder over his decision. ALSO READ: WHAT!
